Perspectives and Challenges for (post)industrial Heritage and Landscapes

The contribution takes inspiration from the essays and identifies two macro-themes around which the authors of the book reasoned: heritage and cultural heritage, industrial and (post)industrial landscape. Starting from the enunciation of concepts and their transformation over time, it analyzes the problems and limits that belong to each line of thought to arrive at the identification of perspectives and scenarios for the new categories of assets. (Post)industrial landscapes pose new challenges and responsibilities but also offer stimulating spaces for the development of creativity and planning capable of involving and representing the different souls of a territory.

Il contributo prende spunto dai saggi e individua due macro-temi attorno ai quali gli autori del libro hanno ragionato: patrimonio e patrimonio culturale, paesaggio industriale e (post)industriale. Partendo dall’enunciazione dei concetti e della loro trasformazione nel tempo, analizza i problemi e i limiti che appartengono a ogni linea di pensiero per giungere alla individuazione di prospettive e scenari per le nuove categorie di beni. I paesaggi (post)industriali pongono nuove sfide e responsabilità ma offrono anche stimolanti spazi per lo sviluppo della creatività e della progettualità in grado di coinvolgere e rappresentare le diverse anime di un territorio.
