Abstract

Advancements in collaborative technologies have increased the importance of human-robot interaction (HRI), yet how these interactions infuence human cognitive and perceptual systems remains hazy. By manipulating the robot’s behavior to exhibit different levels of social intelligence and dynamic capabilities, my research investigates how collaborative interaction with a humanoid robot affects human visuospatial processing and its impact on joint body schema formation with the robot. My work contributes to (i) understanding and modeling the attentional mechanisms underlying the effectiveness of human interactions and (ii) developing technologies that leverage the comprehension of these human mechanisms to improve collaborative HRI.
