Abstract

This article presents the theatrical activity that Bruno Latour has been developing since 2010 to spread awareness of the entry into the Anthropocene era. This intense activity, which has consisted in the creation of plays, radio dramas, conference-performances and has involved a group of collaborators, can be placed in the sphere of research-creation. In fact, in order to expound his theory on Gaia, which Latour takes from texts written by James Love- lock and Lynn Margulis in the 1970s, understood as a self-regulated entity whose very existence calls into question the pre-eminence of the human over nature, the philosopher of nature creates intermedia scenic devices in which he exposes his reasoning and convictions to the public. In this way, he elaborates new ways of saying science and communicating with the public with the aim of awakening consciences and creating awareness of current issues
