If the landscape is now defined as the set of natural and anthropic elements and their interrelations as they are perceived by the population and on the other hand its resilience consists in the ability to resist shocks by absorbing their energy and returning to the orig- inal condition, the cultural landscape of the mouth of the Magra is proof of this. After the devastating flood of October 2011, which affected the focal area of the Magra, an embankment was built as a hydraulic defense work to secure the town of the Ameglia plain. This infrastructure, born as a flood defense work, was badly accepted, almost rejected, by the local population, as an element of visual-perceptual disturbance, because it hid the river landscape and created an insurmountable physical barrier. Today the embankment is transformed into a quality element of the landscape: the Municipality of Ameglia, by participating in a tender for regional funding, obtains it for the landscape regeneration project of the embankment and the area along the river. In this way, the em- bankment also assumes the function of a cycle-pedestrian path connecting the coast / hin- terland and the floodplain area, if we exclude the weather warnings, it becomes the only river park in Liguria. From the new track, at an elevated level, you can enjoy in a renewed way of the river landscape. The park has great ecological and naturalistic potential, be- cause, within the protected area of Monte Marcello and an important SIC, it can become an important piece of the landscape system on a large scale. This symbolic action of the resilience of a cultural landscape will also bring an improvement of ecosystem services.

Abstract
This symbolic action of the resilience of a cultural landscape will also bring an improvement of ecosystem services.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
