The 2025 Summer School offered an interdisciplinary platform to investigate Venaria Reale as a “consolidated city,” a palimpsest where past and present coexist. Moving beyond a Reggia-centered narrative, the project aimed to reveal the autonomy of the ordinary urban fabric, highlighting its stratifications, rhythms, and social relations. Through surveys, sketches, photogrammetry, and a digital twin prototype, hidden spaces such as minor loggias, secondary routes, and courtyards were mapped and reinterpreted. The integration of analog tools, 3D models, and immersive metaverse environments enabled participatory and inclusive scenarios, supporting both residents and visitors. Accessibility was addressed as a cultural and design strategy, not just barrier removal, fostering equity and renewed urban identity. This multisensory and critical representation of space aspires to trigger social regeneration, strengthen the relationship between community and territory, and transform Venaria into a more inclusive, perceptible, and democratic city.
