The article addresses the issue of data circulation and the legal aspects of the use of artificial intelligence in the European market by examining the provisions contained in recent regulations issued in the digital field, from Data Governance to Data Act, with a focus on the relationships between the various disciplines involved. The study highlights how the extensive regulatory output in the field of the digital economy has led to the need to coordinate the rules laid down at European level with those established in each legal system, also in light of general civil law categories, both with regard to the concept of data and with regard to liability for damages.
