Having analysed the main challenges that Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) pose to the law in general, the paper focuses on identifying possible solutions to critical issues related to AR and VR in private international law. VR and AR technologies may pose a significant obstacle to the application of private international law provisions by altering the perception of spaces, which could mislead the identification of the relevant elements for the identification of the competent jurisdiction, or the applicable law.
