Its innovative approach combines physical exploration of museums and cultural sites with enriched virtual experiences through a mobile app. Supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, this project showcases how digital technology can enhance cultural heritage education, fostering interest and learning among citizens of all ages while inspiring innovation and progress. xFORMAL is built on two fundamental principles: Metadisciplinarity, which encourages collaboration among science, technology, and the humanities through constructive dialogue, and pedagogical innovation, which utilizes interactive games to transform cultural visits into engaging learning experiences. The project places a strong emphasis on valorizing lesser- known cultural heritage that is often overlooked in formal education, using modern and accessible tools to promote its knowledge.
