WiP – Words in Progress is a collaborative project in Greek lexicography, that aims to update and expand the major dictionaries of Ancient and Byzantine Greek currently in use. Drawing inspiration from the over ten years of experience of PAWAG – Poorly Attested Words in Ancient Greek, WiP - Words in Progress seeks to provide the scientific community with an ongoing supplement of Greek lexica via a freely accessible online database. The WiP database is continuously enriched with new entries, both recording new words, and previously unknown sources, novel acceptations and improvements of all kinds involving the entries in the main existing dictionaries. The main lines of development concern the scrutiny of new papyrus and epigraphic sources, and the study of sectorial lexica, through collaboration with institutions and scholars having specific expertise.
