The BotBid (From Botany to Big Data) project is an educational initiative that aims at promoting data literacy, scientific and research methods, and participatory science practice based on a network of sustainable and smart school gardens. Since July 2023, the project is part of the dissemination activities of the RAISE Innovation Ecosystem, a NRRP initiative funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. In this paper, we present the overall organization of the initiative, methods and technologies adopted in the different phases of the project, and current and expected results of the 2024–25 edition.

Abstract
