Aligned with the idea of ‘the future as an eternal present’, Nautical Heritage represents a repository of knowledge, design practices, and technologies requiring active engagement with contemporary design processes to redefine the present and shape the future of a globally recognised Made in Italy identity. This paper proposes a hybrid model integrating academic research and educational experimentation, combining traditional knowledge with contemporary tools through a Design Thinking-oriented approach to enhance the recovery and valorisation of historical assets. The model incorporates historical analysis, graphic reconstruction, and digital technologies for interpreting and restoring Nautical Heritage within real shipyard contexts. Abstract
Grounded in the principle of ‘learning by doing’, it ensures direct interaction with professional environments. The discussion focuses on research and practical activities that advance studies on Nautical Heritage as both a cultural phenomenon and a catalyst for innovation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
