This paper examines the course of Palmieri’s work, analyzing from a literary point of view his writings and letters (to Scipione Ricci and Eustachio Degola). His simple style, marked by wit and irony, makes him one of the most notable Italian polemicists and apologists of his time, specially in the field of religion.
