The aim of the essay is to analyze some relevant features of the legal philosophy of Max Radin. The essay is divided into three sections dealing with (i) Radin’s conception of legal science, (ii) his theory of judicial decisions, and (iii) his theory of statutory interpretation. Examining these elements not only provides a better understanding of Radin’s contribution to legal theory, but also a deeper insight into the distinction between legal realism and legal formalism, especially with regard to important issues such as legal certainty and predictability of legal decisions.

Abstract
The aim of the essay is to analyze some relevant features of the legal philosophy of Max Radin.
