That year, the focus was on excavating several well-preserved contexts in the shop at VII 14, 2, which had previously undergone partial investigations. Earlier research had uncovered the remains of a latrine, likely used during the city's final phase (room VII 14, 2.3), and fragments of complex stratifications dating back to the 2nd century BC (room VII 14, 2.2). In 2022, attention shifted to room VII 14, 2.1, where excavations reached layers that, based on preliminary analysis of the materials, appear to date from the period between the 2nd century BC and the 1st century AD. These contexts provide an opportunity to reconstruct a history that closely aligns with that of the adjacent shop at VII 14, 3.
