Filologia della Bildung in Ernst Robert Curtius

"Philology of Bildung in Ernst Robert Curtius". The article aims to analyse the idea of Bildung in Ernst Robert Curtius' thought. By detecting a progressive cultural deterioration in Germany during the Thirties, the alsatian philologist proposes a resemantization of the concept of Bildung by a human- istic perspective. This through the works "Deutscher Geist in Gefahr" and "Elemente der Bildung" written in 1932. Their philological, philosophical and pedagogical contribution is here interpreted as the last result of german Neuhumanismus before the rise to power of national-socialism.

L'articolo intende soppesare l'idea di Bildung nel pensiero di Ernst Robert Curtius. Rilevando un progressivo deterioramento culturale nella Germania degli anni Trenta, il filologo alsaziano propone una risemantizzazione del concetto di Bildung in chiave umanistica. Ciò attraverso le opere "Deutscher Geist in Gefahr" e "Elemente der Bildung" stese nel 1932, il cui contributo filologico, filosofico e pedagogico è colto quale ultimo esito del Neuhumanismus tedesco prima dell'ascesa nazionalsocialista.
