This article focuses on the discourse on gender violence issued from the X account of the French Ministry for Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination. The theoretical and methodological framework of discourse analysis and the study of argumentation is chosen for the analysis, which will be developed in three steps. Firstly, we will present the enunciative dynamics related to gender characteristics on social networks such as X, such as composition and delineation, particularly in plurisemiotic utterances. Secondly, we will analyze the strategies of naming violence, an issue that is not easy to identify : the proliferation of appellations attests to the difficulty of circumscribing a sociodiscursive phenomenon that is as frequent as it is polymorphous ; within the framework of the article, the issue will be addressed by drawing on feminist epistemology on violence and feminist sociological debates on the same subject.
