Linguistic autobiography is a powerful educational tool in the Provincial Centers for Adult Education (CPIA), characterized by multilingual students. This teaching practice allows students to reflect on their language repertoire, valuing the languages of origin in a perspective of intercultural dialogue. Linguistic autobiographies promote critical awareness and the development of a multilingual identity. In the CPIAs, they help to overcome forced monolingualism by promoting a flexible and respectful educational environment of biographical experiences. Autobiographical narration supports the learning of Italian as a second language, facilitating the comparison between native languages and Italian.
