The paper aims to propose an assessment of the relationship between historical-juridical research and New Testament exegesis and the heuristic perspectives in this field. It shows, using some examples, the fertility on one hand of reading the New Testament as a useful source for research about some historical-juridical aspects, especially those related to the Greek provinces of the early empire. On the other hand, it indicates the utility of knowledge about legal disciplines in force during the Early Empire for a deeper reading of some New Testament texts.

Abstract
The paper aims to propose an assessment of the relationship between historical-juridical research and New Testament exegesis and the heuristic perspectives in this field. It shows, using some examples, the fertility on one hand of reading the New Testament as a useful source for research about some historical-juridical aspects, especially those related to the Greek provinces of the early empire. On the other hand, it indicates the utility of knowledge about legal disciplines in force during the Early Empire for a deeper reading of some New Testament texts.File in questo prodotto:
