This paper explores the changes in the agricultural landscape in southern Tuscany between the monastery of S. S. in Monte Amiata and Val di Paglia, with particular reference to the 18th-21st centuries. Land use cartography was analysed using GIS tools from the Lorraine Cadastre (1823) and the modern one, highlighting traces of bocage from a past agrarian organisation. Chiefly, the common landscape connotations in the long term and the most recent changes are discussed.
