Michele Federico Sciacca. La ricerca dell’interiorità

The notion of objective interiority constitutes the central thread in Michele Federico Sciacca’s major theoretical writings, serving as the foundational principle from which his philosophy of integrality unfolds. This philosophy seeks to articulate, in a systematic and theoretical manner, the entirety of human existence as well as the full concreteness of reality, thereby providing the premises for a rational ascent to God as subsistent Truth. For Armando Carlini - Sciacca’s principal interlocutor after the death of Giovanni Gentile - the act through which thought attains the permanent consciousness of itself represents the very vector that confers meaning upon experience, while at the same time demanding to be ontologically grounded in an Absolute and transcendent Act, free from the contradictions and limitations inherent in the immanent act.
