The paper explores the pedagogical and didactic issues, collected by Sciacca in his book Pagine di pedagogia e di didattica. The author argues that pedagogical questions are anthropologically grounded: any consideration of educational action is based on the consciousness of the human being and one’s own being that an educator must have. According to Sciacca, the key words of pedagogical framework concern truth, freedom and communication: there is a relationship between these concepts because the educational goal is the human flourishing. Also very interesting are the reflections on teaching, and in particular teaching of philosophy: Sciacca’s statements on these topics constitute a valid investigation plan to be implemented.
