The urban mobility of women caregivers of dependent persons is part of a web of various gender inequalities that directly violate their right to the city. In this paper we illustrate a qualitative research experience that, through the application of the walkscape technique, allowed us to accompany one of the regular walks that two caregivers take through the city. The aim was to understand how space is perceived and what are the relationships that cross it at the moment of carrying out an urban mobility of caring. The results show the challenges that caregivers face when initiating the thick transit between private and public space at the time of caregiving. In addition, caregivers need a set of scaffolds or supports that make it possible to realize the practice of caregiving in urban mobility mode. Finally, we describe the characteristics of sheltered spaces in the city that facilitate the practice of caregiving on the move. We conclude on the experience of living in the framework of a “cuidadanía” that considers the needs of all subjects, and places the practice of care at the center of the right to the city.
