Entre « droit de parole » et « devoir de parole » : les discours des associations militantes écologistes autour de la COP28

This article analyzes the discursive effects produced by the use of specific environmental terms within a corpus of associative discourse on COP28. The article’s hypothesis is that these terms are part of a discursive configuration producing authority effects, thus guaranteeing the groups' legitimacy to speak in the public discursive space, but also a duty to do so. This duty is based on the construction of moral authority and the conveyance of widely shared or shareable values. The highlighted discursive processes reflect a widespread repoliticisation of climate issues, which challenges the prevailing environmental discourse.
