Background: Room of Horrors simulation may enhance situational awareness and patient safety culture among nursing students. Method: A quasi experimental mixed methods study involved 30 nursing students. Two RoH scenarios with up to 15 errors each were completed between June and July 2024. Quantitative performance and qualitative data from observation and two focus groups were analyzed. Results: Students identified a mean of 2.60 more errors in the second RoH (p < .001). Four qualitative themes concerned motivation, skills development, training accessibility, and experience. Conclusions: RoH may enhance situational awareness and patient safety culture in nursing students.
