Business Models are becoming more and more important in the banking sector. The reasons are both strategic (changes in competitive environment) and regulatory (Business Models Analysis as one of the stages of the Ecb’s Srep). The first step in the analysis is the correct definition of the Bm. The study conducts a review of the literature, both in non financial and in financial sector. In the first case, the identification of BMs is olistic and strategic-oriented; in the second case it is financial data-driven.
